Judy’s Call to Women’s Ministry:

Judy told us that after giving birth to her second child, “I experienced severe depression and anxiety. With the help of a Christian psychologist, I began to recover. During this time, I sought God’s presence and strength to overcome such a stronghold on my life.  One day I read the Scripture passage in II Corinthians 1:3-4 (NAS), “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”  After reading this passage I prayed, “God if you will restore me, I promise I will commit the rest of my life to helping hurting women.”  God was faithful. He has given me many opportunities to minister to women…

Because of my spiritual journey I understand that my weaknesses can be God’s strengths. My emotional pain gave my ministry new meaning.  If I had never experienced emotional pain, I could not empathize with those that experience emotional pain. My desire is to share the hope that is in me, that hope is Jesus Christ. The following passage is a good summation of what God has done in my life:

I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined to me and heard my cry.  He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay; and he set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm.  And he put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear and will trust in the Lord (Ps. 40:1-3).

It is my prayer that as I share with others the hope that is in me, they too will trust in Christ.”

What a wonderful testimony of a surrendered life and a leader who is gifted and passionate about helping women in crisis! Please feel free to drop Judy a letter to welcome her to Sav-a-Life!

We praise the Lord for His provision and continued faithfulness to meet our needs and do abundantly more than we ask or imagine.
